FREELANCE CHARACTERS

Hire or commission me to make your characters today! I created these characters with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, CorelDraw, and traditional art materials for freelance clients.

Below you’ll see dynamic dragons, creepy beasts, beautiful femme fatales, and colorful characters, just dripping with personality. These are two of my favorite genres to work in because they are so cool. I have a lot of room for creativity, and I love making dynamic characters and scenes with vivid colors. To see how some of this art was made, check out the Characters Creative Process page.

This full 360-degree digital painting was created with PanoPainter and Photoshop. I had to learn how PanoPainter warps the image you make and go back and forth between it and Photoshop until I ended up with this awesome result that can be rotated around at any angle.

I’ve loved comics, manga, and graphic novels since I was a child. As an adult, I still enjoy making comic book art. Characters are my favorite, but I enjoy the whole process: sketching, coloring, illustrating, concepts, panels, and even writing. I minored in writing with my BA in art and even started my own comic.

In this gallery, you’ll find colorful, cute, cuddly, and just plain weird characters of all shapes and sizes. The first image is promotional character art I made for Swishland, a company that sells adorable, tiny, squishy critters. I love cartoons and children’s books as much now as an adult as when I was a child. I have 2 kids of my own, and I just love all the wacky and cute universes you can transport your imagination into.

Wild West Exodus is a popular table-top wargame I was contracted to do color work for. Robert Cirillo provided wonderful sketches, and I painted vibrantly detailed digital color. The art I painted was used for posters, box art, card art, and other promotional products. I learned digital speed painting in Photoshop to pump out many paintings quickly, and the promotional posters were given the most time for a more polished look.
