TYNKER GAME ART

Hire or commission me to make your game art today! I created this game art with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Firefly AI, and Esoteric Spine for various Tynker games. © Tynker.

Tynker, a company with millions of users, teaches kids from Kindergarten through High School how to code with games, projects, and lessons. As the Lead Artist, I had the pleasure of working with a team of Artists creating all the colorful, cute, kooky characters and worlds for Tynker. I was the only Artist working in Spine, making rigs and animations for all the Tynker characters, and made User Interfaces for games as well.

Upon request, I also have more unlisted animations and background illustrations for potential employers.

With almost 10 years working at Tynker, I’ve created art for hundreds of games. Some games are simple and quickly produced, while others are stand-alone larger game titles. All of Tynker’s games are played using their Code Blocks or writing actual code. Some of these games I worked with the Art Team, while others I produced solo. I’m showing the game graphics I find most appealing, but there are so many more! Also, check out the Animation page to see more animations.

I created these animated Coding Cup characters in Illustrator and Spine with a multitude of soccer moves and outfits. Coding Cup features 2 teams entangled in an epic game of soccer.
The Turing’s Tower game includes a kooky animated flying castle, characters, and a dragon, all created in Illustrator and Spine. I even produced a versatile tileset used for the platforms in this game.
Four monstrous rigs were created in Spine to accommodate multiple monster body types for Tynker’s Pokémon-style game Code Monsters. Each monster has its own unique movement and attacks. I also made UI for Code Monsters.
Goblin Quest (aka Code Commander) is a fantasy RPG that includes the Kids rig, Tynker’s most popular rig. I made this adorable rig in Spine and Illustrator with hundreds of animations, as well as UI, tilesets, and other assets.

After 10 years of art production, some of Tynker’s titles inevitably went out of style, so they needed a make-over! Because there were hundreds of games for the Art Team to go through, we used methods to save time and still deliver a quality product. We often started with stock art and then revised it to create a cohesive style, but original art was also produced wherever necessary. AI was occasionally employed for less specific art, such as backgrounds. The Art Team and I also made Thumbnail Cards to intrigue and draw in customers to these games and many others offered by Tynker.
